BOOT CAMP COLLECTION NOTICE

 

  1. We collect your personal information and education records when you enquire about, register or enrol in courses and use Boot Camp Services.  The primary purpose of collecting this information is to provide Boot Camp Services to you, and perform necessary associated administrative activities, which will enable you to take part in Boot Camp courses. We will also use your personal information to administer our relationship with you (including determining your eligibility for our services and responding to your queries), identify you and your account, provide and improve our services, communicate with you, for internal business purposes, for promotional and marketing purposes, and to comply with legal, regulatory and other obligations.

 

  1. We may disclose your personal information and education records for educational and administrative and support purposes, such as facilitating access to courses, to business partners, potential employers, our education partners, and in response to a valid legal process.

 

  1. We may engage in promotional and marketing activities. Information received from you may be used to provide you with our promotional and marketing materials. You can opt out of promotional or marketing information you receive from us.

 

  1. We may collect your personal information and educational records for the following additional purposes: on Boot Camp course completion, to place your details in the Monash University’s alumni database so that you may be kept informed of alumni news, events and activities; to facilitate appropriate assistance in the event of an emergency involving you; to comply with legislative reporting requirements; and to use the information as otherwise permitted by the privacy laws.

We may disclose your personal information and educational records to the following additional organisations: government departments such as the Australian Taxation Office, the Department of Industry, Innovation, Science, Research and Tertiary Education, Centrelink, and the Department of Immigration and Citizenship; and to government agencies and organisations involved in quality assurance and planning for higher education such as federal and state government and the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA).

We may disclose your personal information and educational records in the event of an emergency, police, medical or hospital personnel, civil emergency services, your legal representative or nominated emergency contact person, or other person assessed as necessary to respond to the emergency.

 

  1. If you do not provide some or all of your personal information, we may not be able to provide you with some or all of our services.

 

  1.  We may store your personal information and education records on secure servers located in the U.S., and may access your personal information and education records from our offices in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland and Mexico

 

  1. Our Privacy Policy, accessible at bootcamps.monash.edu, sets out how you may seek access to and correct your personal information which Boot Camp has collected and holds.  

 

  1. Our Privacy Policy also sets out how you can make a complaint about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles and how the complaint will be handled.

 

  1. This Boot Camp Collection Notice applies to all methods of collecting personal information and educational records (including hardcopy, electronic or verbal means).
